I was thinking of new smoothie recipe ideas and realised that it could be interesting to be inspired from the strong flavours from a cake mix and convert them into this smoothie.
I love ginger cake because it’s so hot from the ginger but is really rich when combined with sugar. For this recipe, I have used carrot and banana which both act as natural sweeteners.
Ingredients
10g fresh ginger
1/2 banana
4-5 walnuts
1 small carrot (about 50g)
squeeze of lemon
1tbsp chia seeds
1tsp cinnamon
100ml almond milk
2 ice cubes
step1
Combine all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until completely smooth.
Notes
- Add more or less ginger depending on personal preference.
- Add additional milk if necessary.
- If this isn’t sweet enough for you, include a couple of dates.
