I’m obsessed with this colour, I love the vibrancy that spinach adds to any smoothie or sauce. It’s not just green, it’s the loudest green there can be.
Adding greens to anything that you are eating is important because of their many nutritional benefits. They contain high amounts of an array of vitamins and minerals and are a good source of fibre.
The bitterness of the spinach is balanced with the inclusion of pineapple and banana. I have also added hemp seeds because they are a great protein source.
Ingredients
85g pineapple
handful of spinach (about 80g)
1/2 banana
100ml almond milk
2 tsp hemp seeds
3 ice cubes

Combine all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until the smoothie is completely smooth.
Notes
- Use more milk if the drink is still too thick.
- You could also use another type of milk, I just personally like almond.
- If the drink isn’t sweet enough for your preference, add more pineapple or a couple of dates.
