This drink works as a complete breakfast meal or substantial snack with the inclusion of oats.
Mango contains a high amount of vitamin C, with over 50% in 165g (the weight of about 3/4 of 1 mango).
The inclusion of different powders allows the smoothie to taste amazing whilst having many nutritional benefits. Cinnamon is great for digestive health and energy. Maca is also energising, it can improve mood and tastes like caramel popcorn.
Using frozen fruit prevents oxidisation, ice can be used too. It also helps to thicken the drink.
Ingredients
1/2 frozen mango
1/2 frozen banana
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 tsp maca
1 tsp cinnamon
100ml almond milk
40g oats
splash of water or 2-3 ice cubes

Combine all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until the smoothie is completely smooth.
Notes
- Use more milk if the drink is still too thick.
- You could use an alternative flavour plant milk, I just like almond. Coconut could work nicely with this smoothie.
- If the drink isn’t sweet enough for your preference, add a couple of dates.
